Contacts can review and update their own contact details directly in DevMan. DevMan provides two ways for contacts to safely update their data online:
•Via a link from your website to an external DevMan page
•Via a link from a mailshot sent out from DevMan
To use these features please contact the DevMan Support Team for assistance in setting up your online update DevMan page and email template.
Always make sure that the person has been flagged as an alumni or as a donor so as to protect the name field from being changed.
Add a person profile for your DevMan user and flag System status as For internal use.
Select People > Settings > Identification page
Set your assigned DevMan user as the Person to notify
The online update link will open the person's profile on an external DevMan web page, and they will be able to update details such as address details, telephone and mobile numbers, email details etc.
The Updates feature will show who has updated their details via the online update. You can check who has updated their details and verify them by selecting People > Online updates > Recent updates (Automated).

If a person requests to update their details but no profile is found on DevMan, an email will be generated and sent to the assigned online administrator requesting that they be added to the database.
Add the person's name and email address once it has been verified. From the person profile, send an "Update your details" email.
